That apparatus is Marion Body Works. “TRADITION OF QUALITY”.
We are somewhat new to apparatus sales, but not to Fire apparatus or the fire service. Vickie and Chuck Miller have been together for more than 35 Years. They have two adult children and live in Canton GA. Vickie has long been involved in her husband’s job as a Captain/firefighter and the business of Fire Apparatus sales. She is now involved more in apparatus sales to help the business grow. Chuck is a retired veteran Captain after 38-years at a large paid fire department in the Atlanta area . He has always had the attitude “Do it right or not at all”! So he carries this into the business of selling Apparatus. “Sell the Best or not at all”. When you buy from us we will be there for you and your department. We will take care of you as family. That is the only way we will have it. Like us Marion Body works cares about it products and it customers. We have included literature in the bid binder about Marion and its past. Please take time to read it over. We feel you will be pleased with what you find.

A little note about Chuck Miller’s philosophies, when it comes to selling apparatus.
Chuck Miller believes that if he is going to offer his customers an apparatus it will be the best apparatus he possible can. He will walk away from a deal that is not to high standards. With his back ground in apparatus service for large department 10 years of working on every type 1981-1991, he knows better than most salesmen what is good or great and what is not. That’s why he tells folks that he is not an apparatus salesman, but fire captain, that happens to be Selling Fire & Rescue Apparatus! So believe me when I say he is true to his word. His beliefs’ in honesty and truth are foremost over all else. He will not have his reputation lowered by selling a truck the department is unhappy with. He knows departments will have some troubles with any apparatus. But you should not have to dislike the trucks you have purchased in the past. A Fire apparatus has a life of around 20 years. It better be right from the start. Do not buy one just for it name, low price or just because it looks good. Do the research and buy the best your department can? That is what Chuck Miller will do for your department. (The research) to make sure he offers the best one for your needs when reviewing specs or working with a department from the start. That why he chooses to sell Marion Body Works apparatus in Georgia. They are one of the finest apparatus built in the industry. They are a little higher in cost, but this day and time you get what you pay for.
Thank You

Why Choose a Marion?
The old saying, “You are what you eat” is easily understood by nutritionists, athletes and firefighters across the land. Simply put, to build a better body, you need to use better building blocks. Nowhere is this concept more prevalent than inside a Marion Fire Truck. Our Engineering team has taken the concept to heart, incorporating military-spec grade aluminum extrusions into every rig we build.
Why military-spec grade Aluminum? It has a tensile strength that is 91% stronger than 3003 sheet and 43% stronger than 5052 sheet. It is the proverbial “better building block” that we use as our foundation. Our engineers incorporate the superior properties of our aluminum stock into our apparatus designs to build a body and chassis system that is strong and light weight, while maintaining its structural integrity. It is so essential to our process that we purchase more than 1 million pounds of it each year.
While other manufacturers may form, bend and weld their support columns and bracing components piece by piece, we source our virgin aluminum extrusions from America’s best mills. This means that the tolerances we specify are certified on every lot with absolutely no variance. The closed-profile form of the structural extrusions provides excellent fit and finish during manufacturing and throughout the lifespan of the apparatus. They are cut to length, drilled, notched and milled on advanced CNC machinery with the tightest tolerances in the industry. Marion body panels are CNC laser cut from heavy-gauge aluminum plate stock with all secondary operations performed on our in-house equipment.
If you believe its what’s on the inside that counts, count on Marion.

This letter is to serve as testament to the experiences we have had in relation to the recent purchase of a Marion fire truck.
The City of Clarkesville Fire Department began the process of purchasing its first ever custom pumper in 2013. When the bids were assessed, several manufacturers submitted excellent products. There were many similarities as you would expect. However, there was one that stood out above the rest when the details were assessed. Marion Body Works brought more truck, more features, and more warranties to the table than the others. In a blind scoring process, the Marion outscored the others by more than 20 points.
Once the bid was awarded, the staff from Marion, and the local dealer, Chuck Miller from Fearless Flames, very carefully guided me and my staff through the build-out process. They were very detail oriented and made certain that we were building the truck we wanted to have and not just a truck they wanted to build. They carefully steered us away from unforeseen pitfalls, saving us thousands of dollars. We requested several non-traditional features and have a very unique community to serve. Chuck and the Marion staff researched what we wanted and made it happen.
Chuck Miller has more than 35 years as a Fulton County Firefighter, working his way from a Mechanic, to Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, and presently serves as Captain. He knows fire trucks and emergency vehicles from the inside out due to his real world experience and from operating his own company. This places Chuck in a unique position to serve his customers for both sales and service. His dedication to service after the sale has helped make the choice to buy Marion look not only financially sound but extremely intelligent.
Chuck and the Marion staff treated us as family and took the building of our truck personal. Almost 2 years after taking delivery, I still get periodic calls from the Marion staff checking on our satisfaction with E3. This kind of commitment and pride in a product is evident in every detail of our engine. The quality of workmanship is unsurpassed. I invite you and encourage you to pay me a visit to see what I mean. Look it over and take it for a drive yourself. Without the support before, during, and after the sale, this would be just another fire truck. It’s one of a kind and it’s ours. I cannot say enough great things about this company. I strongly encourage you to give Marion Body Works a chance to build your next emergency vehicle. If funds were available, I would have a bay full of Marion products.
